Empowering Communities: Our Mission and Vision
KDE Abilities Foundation is a Texas-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering individuals and strengthening communities through education, workforce development, mentorship, community support, and inclusion.
Founded in 2015 as KDE Disability Africa Foundation, the organization expanded its mission in 2025 and became KDE Abilities Foundation to better reflect its commitment to serving people of all abilities and underserved communities. The Foundation also operates KDE Academy, its education and workforce development initiative.
We believe every person deserves the opportunity to learn, work, and live with dignity. By providing technology and vocational training, career mentorship, mobility assistance, food and clothing support, and advocacy for inclusion, we help individuals build brighter futures and achieve greater independence.
Our programs serve children, youth, adults, and families in the United States and Africa by equipping them with practical skills, educational opportunities, essential resources, and pathways to meaningful employment.
